I was at Mt St Helens not more than 5 years ago with a group of students in GASFP before all of the seismic activity started up again. We hiked up without shirts on through snow in the middle of August. At the top it was windy and cold but nobody seemed to mind because the crater below leaves you with respect for the power of the living Earth below your feet. We then proceeded to sled down on trash bags devising ramps and bowling each other over along the way.

    Where I want to be

I found this picture today and thought that if this isn't posed (hmmm) then this is how I want to feel. Everyday be in awe of my surroundings and able to meditate on it. FYI this is my bro. Boy am i jealous.

Good ol AIG - The king of insurance

So this is where I work. Where all the stress in my life comes from (kidding) and what I am always worried about. Today my friend/coworker/drinking buddy sent out an invite to everyone for next thursday which happens to be St. Patrick's Day for a little happy hour at Taco Mac to celebrate my employment with AIG Agency Auto. AIG has been very good to me for mental growth, technical learning, and dealing with those 'real life' situations. Everyone has been fabulous and in complete support of my trip and venture back to academia. I will miss a lot of people around here there have been too many memories to count (or remember) over the past two and a half years and I can only hope to have such a positive, supportive workplace in the future.
